"I want a butterfly"

This morning my heart burst, when Mia was pointing out a butterfly in the book that we were reading, and I told her "yes, such a pretty butterfly!" And I couldn't believe my ears, the next thing she said was:

"I want a butterfly, on my finger!
I will kiss it,
And love it,
And put it in my 'handsak'!"

Oh, bless!
My heart!

  1. Hehe so cute! I once had the most beautiful butterflies made from feathers, but I can't remember where I got it - imagine how much Mia would love having one like that! xx

  2. Agree with Debs! Have seen those around too. Perhaps surprise her with a butterfly that has one of those suction cups attached to it then she can attached it to all sorts of places that catch her fancy :-)

  3. I have a bag full of pink, purple and feather butterflies that I bought at a florist supply store. The ones made with feathers are very realistic. Bought them for Jess's room, now of course she doesn't want them so I put them on birthday present wrapping or on the end of a pencil for and extra little bit of love in a present.
Mia has a wonderful heart and soul, well done Jessica you are a great Mommy! xx
